Museum of Natural History

One rainy Saturday we decided to go to a natural history museum at the university of Oklahoma. I was holding Jenna and was walking quickly across the parking lot to catch up with Sheila and the rest of the kids when I slipped and Jenna and I both fell down. So instead of driving back all the way back home and changing we thought it would be quicker to buy Jenna some new clothes.

Here's Jenna chilling in the Captain's chair while waiting for her new wardrobe.

Once we got back to the museum they had a lot of neat exhibits including dinosaurs!

The kids are uncovering some bones

And Jenna looks at the bones

There were a lot of neat things to see and places for Jenna to explore

Oklahoma City Zoo

Earlier in the summer we went to the zoo, but it was too hot so we weren't there for very long. We went back the end of August when it wasn't quite as hot. I wasn't expecting us to stay for as long as we did. The Oklahoma City Zoo is a very nice zoo. I like taking pictures of the flowers they have there perhaps more than the animals :)

Unfortunately I had set my camera's ISO to 6,400 (I thought it was on auto) so a lot of my pictures were overexposed :'(

The kids were kinda worried about this for a minute (what is going on here? what is going down?)

Musical Chairs

The kids were have a really fun time playing musical chairs so I thought I would share :)

Lydia's 2 bottom permanent teeth were coming in behind her baby teeth. The dentist had to pull her 4 bottom teeth to make room for her permanent teeth to move back in place. Lydia really liked the stash the tooth fairy left her!

Trains

Well, we went on our first real train ride! There is a train museum that gives train rides on Saturdays, so we went.

Matthew was most excited to ride a train. I think this was my first time on a real train too.

Jenna was getting bored so we let her do one of her favorite things - wrestle Matthew

Jenna

Often I practice my picture taking but Jenna is the only subject patient enough with my constant clicking (and she doesn't run around nearly as much) so I get a lot more pictures of her than my other children. Here's some pictures of her that I've take recently.

Happy Birthday Miss Lydia

Lydia turned 7!

Here's Lydia and Matthew helping Sheila make the cake

It's a mermaid cake!

For some fun decorations we made some pom-poms out of tissue paper

Ms. Lydia getting ready to open her presents

and blowing out the candles (they are the re-lighting ones so she had a lot of fun blowing them out again and again)

And we played pin the tail on the donkey.
