Well Sheila put together a little penny necklace for Lydia. Lydia and Matthew had fun helping to drill the holes in the pennies.
And Sheila was kind enough to remind me to smile :)
Sorry I didn't get a picture of the finished product but here's a video that kinda shows it (you have to go to the blog to see it):

Swinging on some swings
This past week I got home from work somewhat early so I got Sheila, Jenna, and Matthew to come walk to the school with me to pick Lydia up. We ended up getting out of the house late so we ended up walking really fast to get to the school. After we picked Lydia up we went to the park and played around there for a bit. Here's a picture:

200K and counting
Well our 17 year old van passed 200,000 miles this morning. So exciting.
So... where can you go with 200,000 miles??
Times to the moon: 0, but only need another 38k to get there :-)
Times around the Earth: 8
Times from Los Angeles to New York City: 71
Times can travel from one end to the other on route 66 (if it was still all there): 81
Times I can commute to and from work: 10,000 (that's 38 work years :-)

Rocky Mountain National Park Round 2 - Revenge of the Francoms
The Francoms came up for a couple of days and we decided to go up to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.
Elizabella and Jenna
Yours truly (I look chubby) I think either William or McKay took this picture. They did a pretty good job I think.
The kids really had fun climbing around on the rocks and trying to cross the stream (Ron likes to fall in the water, ha ha)
I love Jenna's expression here.
McKay, Elizabella, and Lydia crossing the river with Ron and Mia in the background.
Wendy really wanted me to post this picture of her. She made me promise.
The road going up the mountains was closed so we weren't able to go all the way up, and there was a fire over by bear lake so we couldn't go over that way so we were kinda limited in where we could go.
The closed road.
The animals were crazy up here, they would come right up to you (they were looking for handouts)
Rocky Mountain National Park
A little after we moved here to Colorado we decided to go to Rocky Mountain National Park. I don't remember what the name of the road is, but we drove up to 12,000+ ft up to the tundra. It as pretty neat except we didn't really expect it to be as cold as it was so we didn't spend too much time outside.
It was really pretty up there
It was a nice time to be up there as the leaves were changing colors.
We stopped at the Alluvial Fan and the kids had a lot of fun playing near the water (throwing rocks and eating sand, that sort of thing.)
The extended stay
We stayed at an extended stay for a week while we looked for a place to rent. We were really glad to have leave there as it was quite the challenge to keep the children quiet.
This is Jenna... in a box. She really likes climbing on/in stuff
Route 66 park
Route 66 went through Oklahoma City so we were able to drive on the road and go to a cool park.
This is where we stayed in OKC. The back part of the apartment was a laundry room.
