HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTHEW!!

Well Here's some pics of Matt's 4th birthday. We had some of his friends over. He really liked all the toys he got.

The Nature Center

We decided to run over to the nature center. This was back in March so there wasn't really a lot of flowers or neat landscape, but we had fun. There were lots of geese though.

 We got an explorer kit available for the kids. This is when we first got it, the chicos were very very excited to see what was inside of it.

The had an indoor area full of snakes, mice, and other critters.

There were lots of geese all around

And they were blocking our way at some paths. We were worried what they would do - let us pass or attack us, as they would attack each other - so we went a different way.

Eyes

I think my family has the prettiest eyes! I'm glad my chicos got Sheila's eyes :)

It's Spring in Tennessee!

The other day we decided to go for a walk near our apartments to see the sights of spring. Here's a few things that we saw.

Lydia's think-show project

Lydia had a "think show" project. It's pretty much like a science fair but it can be a project from any subject. Lydia's class made 3d self portraits. They had to use at least 4 3d shapes and 4 2d shapes. Lydia was very proud and excited about her project.

Cypress Trees

While Grandma and Grandpa were here we wanted to take them on a short hike to see some Cypress trees, but we ran out of time before they left for Australia :'(

This is a Cypress Tree... it's got a weird looking trunk

You probably can't see this very good but it's a panorama. There's a nice board walk probably 8 feet above the ground (you can see it at the very right of the picture.
